Sam Jackson is pivot-man between his son and his dad (Rountree) in this action-packed FUNNY reintroduction of Shaft: The Generation Gaps. If it weren't for the Shaft family killing people outright without blinking an eye, it would be a popcorn special. Lots of humor with a plot thrown in as a bonus. Enjoy.

I saw this movie last night, as part of a movieplex sneak into another movie escapade. I thought it a good cast in a movie that was nothing more than product. Nice modern product, but still forgettable.

Might be a good movie for a gun nut, there are a lot of shoot em ups, with the same unfortunate bad guys who never accepted target practice as a viable concept. The cast just needs a better movie, but don't get me wrong, it is a well made movie, state of the art 2019. Unfortunately , i was hoping for what could have been,

In hindsight, bringing richard roundtree, the original shaft, into the picture, and making it a big promotional deal, was a major tell that the movie was grasping for appeal.
