What a cavalcade of stars, wit, and wondrous CGI. This was top of the line for the franchise in my non-Marvel opinion. The acting credits are spread most evenly and the story steam rolls for 2.5 hours. I found myself both giggling and delighted at all the mirthful dialog. Not one performer can be singled out because everyone got the good lines.

This is a must see. Arm yourself with a bladder buster and barrel of popcorn and strap in for a very fun ride.

I was unable to sit through the credits so I can not verify if there are Easter Eggs. Since this is a Part 1, so to speak, I would imagine there are.

I only got there with ten minutes to spare. I had to slink into the 12:20 next door where I got my favorite spot.

Let us know what you think of it.

I wonder how (if) they get out of this one.

It probably is the best of the Marvel universe.

Hard to believe what they did with the story

I do not want to give anything away so will remain vague but will say that some of it actually got to me. Usually I just take in all the eye candy then forget about it. This one made an impression.

....Won't give away much either but.....

I suspect a "Who shot JR?", Vampire wars from"Twilight", Bob Newhart innkeeper type resolution. Recall who has the time stone and was portrayed as showing a wee bit of remorse at one point.

Overall, not as impressed as you or BW. Found the whole spectacle rather messy and unfocused.

yeah it's a cheap shot but likely an illusion of some sort I concur, posted on May 1, 2018 at 20:30:20

It was neat way back when they brought back Superman, then Batman and Spiderman. The proliferation of these superhero films was fun at first, but it has gotten out of control and I stopped watching them several years back. I guess I reached the saturation point.

I got my curiosity satisfied, about what I expected. I don't follow comic books , and am way outside of the target age for the movie. I've seen better, often.

A forgettable movie, as most product movies become, and I had some fun. . The same week I saw a french movie with no plot , no characters, but it had mystery, action, suspense, nudity, conflict, criminals , all the stuff of story, without a story, and a beautiful look, when wanted. And in three dimension projection . Of course, this is from a very talented guy seeking to make an artistic statement, not just mega product of the week.

while being interviewed the Russo brothers said they totally forgot Jeremy Renner's character, posted on May 4, 2018 at 16:23:26

I find it hard to believe but they said it...

it seems more likely they did not want to pay another minor character, at least Scarlett brings in more viewers I imagine.

At the end of the last one, Renner's character went home to momma and the kids., posted on May 4, 2018 at 20:32:45

I wasn't sure what that meant, but looked like he was out of it then.

The film is called,' Adieu au language" from Jean Luc godard,, or goodbye to language 3D. 2014.

Not easily accessible like a Hollywood flick, a couple seated in front of me walked out early , and I had to do some thinking afterward to realize what had happened, it was a very clever ambush of sound and sight, crafted to trigger emotions.

Rarely projected in 3d, some of the 3d is more than can be easily comprehended, it goes very complex , more than I could see, for a couple of effects, not a lot of three d was used that way , it is not a special effects movie, and is very pretty at times, by intention.

I honestly could only tell it was over when the house lights came up, I was so drawn into the sensation. I guy I talked to said it was Godard's best movie, me I just knew it was a lot to comprehend in one viewing, a puzzle to fit together, with instructions alluded to as they push some books around in the beginning of the film. Of course, I was too dense to get that until i thought about it later, after the movie was over. Towards the end of the movie, one of the actors declares characters are boring, a big key about the construction of the movie because there are people in the movie, but it could also just be a dogs view of the world, at times.

My first impression was , I have just seen the weirdest 3D movie ever.. Then as I thought about it some, realized i had just seen a film constructed to deliver all the usual movie emotions, but using only sight and sound, but it looks like a regular movie. It is, when I step back, a puzzle made as entertainment. Also let me know I am not a super sophisticated movie consumer, but I am seeing enough to learn a bit. I like movies that stick with you, in a good way. i avoid violent movies and images for that reason.

I would never intentionally misled a reader. I know I often must seem very negative in my comments, but am trying to express a more positive vibe with my usual complaints.

fyi when I say a super hero movie is good I am only comparing it to other movies in the genre, of course they are easily bettered in the grand scale of things.

fwiw imo

and any other acronym I can think of...

...not that good a film unless you are a Marvel fanboy and have seen all the previous ones.

It hardly stands on its own.

In the controlled setting of a comic book, an archer who makes every impossible shot is intriguing to a young child. But, when thrown into the mega movie action it is like bringing a bow and arrow to a heat ray vision gun fight.

I always liked the flash best, but only as pictured from my childhood.
