An 8 episode treat starring Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin on Netflix. Douglas is an aging acting coach (think Strasburg) and Arkin his very successful long-term agent. Some very clever and well-acted dialog surrounding lifes joys and sorrows and the effects of aging on men and the people that surround them. It has a great supporting cast of characters including Susan Sullivan, Elliot Gould, Ann-Margaret, Nancy Travis, Danny DeVito AND produced and written by Chuck Lorre. I enjoyed it immensely! Give it a look, I don't think you'll be disappointed....

Based on friends' recommendation.

As soon as FilmStruck fades away... with all due regrets.

Stay away from the Russian movies on Netflix.

I have only watched one show, but I like it so far.

...not bad overall, good banter, witty most of the time.

It still has too strong a Hollywood flavor at times, but the two main actors are doing fine job, and carry it through.

I could definitely do without all those "celebs", just a few good actors would be fine. The tabloid smell is bothersome.

So irritating at times, but good entertainment overall, we were glad we watched it.

I particularly enjoyed Alan Arkin in the piece... Douglas was good as well but I felt Arkin was a stand out.

Arkin was definitely enjoyable, but his role was more linear, while Douglas was more all over the place.

Looking forward to next season... I hope their age does not play game with us.
