Why? So he can ruin it? Turn it into some kind of twisted, morbid fairy tale? The management of Disney is so F'ed up. I guess that's what you get when you stack management with the dregs of the San Francisco bath house scene.

As I have said before, I think Walt would be appalled at what they have done to his brand.... I like Tim Burton as a director... I was a fan of the Batman films, Sweeney Todd, Big Fish, Pee Wee's Adventure, Sleepy Hollow & Alice in Wonderland. He had a few clunkers too most notably Dark Shadows and Planet Of The Apes. I REALLY wanted to love Dark Shadows because I grew up watching the TV show...

I agree on Disney management too....., posted on November 28, 2018 at 05:47:20

Burton has done some great stuff with Nightmare Before Christmas being one amazing feat.

Of course Disney has made MILLIONS off of product marketing with it.

Burton likely has too.

I like Tim Burton as well. On Central I once referenced, "The Little Boy Who Wanted to be Vincent Price."

But make no mistake about it, Dumbo was given to Burton as a deliberate act to destroy something that is good and wholesome.

I don't see Marvel films in the theater. Or Star Wars, well, ever. I do boycott the mouse and I'm not giving up much to do so.
