Mag. MMG as Front channels ?

Haven't committed to an entry-level setup yet (!)
I want a good stereo as well as HT setup.
I've narrowed (diverged, actually) my prospect down to :

Yamaha RVX795 (HK AVR65 if the interference thing clears up ? )
Fronts - Paradigm MiniMonitors OR Mag. MMG ???????
Surrounds - Paradigm ADP350 or Energy dipolar
Center - Paradigm CC350
Sub - Klipsch KSW200

So, what do you think about using MMGs for front channels ? or MiniMonitors for Stereo ?

Thanks again for your patience and help

Dave

As a general rule I think you would be better off with front and rear speakers that match. Always exceptions though.
Several people around here like the MMG's. I tried them and found them to have an irritating coloration in the upper midrange/lower treble so I sent them back. Since you can try them and send them back all you have to lose is shipping.

As Mike said, try to stick with the same speakers all around. Also, the center channel speaker will be much more important then you would think, you don't want muddy or boomy dialogue, so get the best one you can. I haven't heard the Klipsch sub, is it near the price of the Paradigm sub? You might want to compare them. Try to listen to the 795 with the Paradigms, they both lean a bit towards brightness. Everything considered though, Paradigms are a good HT speaker choice.
