Both with Dolby Digital, both 70 watts around.
I can get a deal on either one. The difference being $80 more for the Onyko.
Tried them both out, loved the sound of both. Features are very similar.
The question is which one to go with. I like the remote with the yamaha more than the other, but does Onyko have better amps?? Enough to make up $80 difference? They will be used with the Energy Take 5.
How well built are the Yamaha amps? Do the two compare well?
Thanks

See if you can get an older model.

I got the Yamaha 793, a much better and more powerful receiver than the 595, for less than the 595.

Besides, how much was the price for the 595 ?

I'll let you know if it's a good deal.

$399.

Trust me---try to get an older, better model for less, you will not be sorry (so long as it is Dolby Digital).
