I will second The Army of Shadows. Based on a true story about the french resistance to the Nazis - PhilJ 14:52:04 03/05/26 (0)
and the brave men and women who stood up to them. Be sure to watch until the end to see the real people that the characters were based on.

also sometimes I see it listed under a different (but similar) name but it is worth hunting for.
