The film is "The Oscar" from 1966. Kinda stinks, Stephen Boyd, the lead overplays an unlikeable guy to the point you could loathe his every word. It has its moments and some very laughable 60's attempts at cool. Bad music too courtesy of Percy Faith. It's worth seeing for the young Jack Soo (Yemana on Barney Miller) and the cavalcade above.......

Dear God, please let the current boom last.
I promise that I won't piss it away trying to corner the silver market or buying department stores like I did the last one
That movie was a whole lot of fun, particularly, the scenes featuring Walken and Hopper, and Oldman and Slater.
some heavy lifting there. Also liked Gandolfini and Arquette in the motel.

See!
Obviously the guy walks around in bare feet because he can't find any shoes that fit.
Best Regards,

Especially when it tries to be "relevant" but just comes across as melodramatic and stupid. Bennett's acting is inept. The script sucks. It's a real stinker.
Want to see a good film about Hollywood - watch "Day of the Locust."
Yes, I agree. It stunk and the acting was mostly bad. I hated Boyd in it. Bill Maher made an interesting comparison to Boyd's role here and in Ben Hur. He said "it's the same guy 2K years later".

Boyd played it pretty gay for the 60s. Pretty corny stuff. I doubt the Academy would allow similar use of its name, clips, etc. today.
As the guy who jumped off the 20-story building shouted as he passed the 10th Floor "So far..so good!"
