had this plot succeeded. Hitler micro-managed his Eastern campaign against opposition from his Generals; causing traffic jams, chaos + un-necessary delays Hitlerian pig-headedness was an ally to the Allies
Putting the defence of Germany back in the hands of say, Erwin Rommel, ( who was alledgedly involved in the plot, and became one of its many victims ) with Hitler out of the way, might have prolonged the inevitable by many more months ( or, Heaven forbid, even brought about a reversal of fortune )
