The whole concept is funny, the idea that behind Shampoo companies are espionage and counter-espionage groups just like Bourne Identity, but without the guns.
And I liked the puzzle aspect, the who's conning who, that was carried off beautifully through flashbacks and led to a satisfying conclusion.
But as there was an element of humor, there were but a few chuckles really. So it didn't work much as a comedy. And it should have.
Certainly not the best movie I'll see this year, or probably even this month, but I enjoyed the way it was all constructed and worked out.
Follow Ups:
It supposedly has many locations, are they well portrayed? Or does it look like stock footage? That was a big plus in the older Bond films, they actually spent the $$ to film on location, unmistakably so.
.
it's not Bond style travelogue however, there are some nice atmospheric scenes in Dubai, Bahamas and Rome, and from the end credits, it appears they actually shot there. But most of the action is in NYC, the locations are for fairly short flashbacks.
