...just playing.
I liked her with McQueen. She seemed like a young wife in over her head.
She's one of those mercurial figures whose "star" was blessed beyond her abilities. A beautiful child of the times.
Another one was Katherine Ross
the tall, model-like actresses.
he would have given up 5 years of his life to make a film with Tura Satana..."Model-like" as in: "Model for a suspension bridge support" perhaps ( not that I would say that to her face ! )
I guess contemporary casting agencies just have no equivalent on their books...
Mind you; they don't seem to be able to come up with a 2009 Tuesday Weld, Yvette Mimeux or Bardot either...
I guess women can get into films now if they look like a neutered mice; but certainly not true back in the '60's + '70's ( ! )

with several minor (as far as popularity) exceptions.
Scarlett Jo and Penelope Cruz spring to mind.
Gwenyth, Tilda, Julianne, Naomi, Cate, and Nicole. Not one would make you turn your head in a gown, a bikini, or a tank top. All talented, mind you. Very, very talented. But bloodless as hell.
so that would've been appropriate
As for talent; I'm sure all she had to do "back in the day" was stand still, shut up + look pretty + the World would have beaten a path to her door anyway ...
