Spoilers....
Interesting new TV show. People wake up in basically a ghost town with a few caretakers. They can't leave, they are being watched...
A few things have not added up to me though;
-When they were removing the remote activated medicine units from their legs, why didn't the watcher just knock them out... using... the medicated units....? Maybe I missed something there (I did miss the first few minutes of last weeks episode).
-If the caretaker was in on the scheme, again why didn't they knock the people out when they were beating on him, and why not work on the kitchen staff as well.
Still, a different concept, making it fun to watch.
Follow Ups:
instead of getting off the island they have to get out of town. They even had a smoke monster this week (sort of) in the form of poisonous gas...
My take is that they are being experimented on. I think they let them take the devices out of their legs just to observe them, also I think the caretaker is stuck there as well even though he works for them (the others :^D). Of course there is the ominous background of the individuals which we only know a little about.
I usually hate these sort of shows but the writing is pretty good and the acting is good too,
btw it is just a mini series and over this summer.
also this show is better than the terrible Scoundrels and The Gates I watched last night on ABC.

I've never seen any of the shows you mentioned, so it's tough for me to make a comparison. Was Lost just some people lost on an island, a modern day Gilligan's Island with suspense in place of humour? Why would nobody find them in this airplane, travel infested world?
I do see the "experiment" side of allowing them to remove their capsules, makes sense, see how far they'll go.... after all they have plenty of other ways to keep their captives.
Just a mini-series, I know, but thanks for the warning. I hope it carries through to the end, it's fun to watch.

I just mentioned the other shows because they are new as well (played for the first time Sunday) but not as good as Persons Unknown which is a bit better than most of the stuff that comes out these days, it reminds me of Twilight Zone sometimes.

So that makes more sense then. I never did give it a chance, not even one episode. Oh well, moving on...
Yes, it does seem a bit Twilight Zone-ish, agreed. We'll see how it pans out.
