Solaris and probably another 50 films I formerly really liked are actually bad films because someone doesn't like, doesn't understand, or can't focus enough to stay awake through each and every one of them. This has been quite a revelation.
I'm really appreciative of the folks who have opened my eyes to this! (-;

What makes a film good is only important to the person watching it IMO. 90% of the movies mentioned here bear no interest to me whatsoever. I will admit I do get slightly bothered when somebody makes statements that a particular movie/director what-have-you is "the best". "The best IMO" would be at least a bit more suitable.
IMO there's no such thing as the best anything. The best car to me would maybe be an AM DB9, or maybe a new M3 would be "best", but to somebody who doesn't enjoy that type of car, maybe a Bentley would be more suitable, or maybe an electric car....
Don't worry too much about others opinions.
Preferably from the seventies. Nothing but the best.
