My wife watched Fargo over and over and over. Maybe I'll put this on for her.
We'll have to agree to disagree about global warming until the next global cooling scare comes along

I also recommend Jar City. Bleak, but compelling. I have the book which was a gift from my Icelandic mother-in-law but haven't got around to reading it yet .
For something with an undeniable Fargo flavor try Terribly Happy, a quirky and atmospheric Danish crime thriller by director Henrik Ruben Genz.
I actually stopped wathing it about half way thru. I thought the story was too unbelievable/distracting.

The whole film is like one long nightmare that has some touches of reality, but is not reality. I think Bunuel would like it! :)
