saying much or seemingly doing much, can convey emotions in a powerful, believable manner. She is one of the very few. She just dominates her scenes with her magnetism, her human dignity. It may sound trite, but there it is. And I don't mean "star presence," per se, but something close to charisma.

BTW, I was looking at info for the lead actress in that film, Mirjana Jokovic, and found that interesting bit of trivia:
"She's been raped in almost every movie she was filmed in Yugoslav cinematography."
Mmmm... I wonder what is wrong there?
