is poorly written, directed, and acted: it has pretensions of art--- the worst kind.
The budget was so low that instead of interminable car chases, we get endless foot races. There are at least 20 minutes of them, or so it seemed. There are several breaks between the very poorly choreographed violence wherein Hanna latches onto a hippie family. One can almost hear the scriptwriters in the background muttering "what do we have them say.... do?" Quite obviously, they never quite came up with the answers.
I very much enjoy the Bourne-type films: this one is the poorest, a stinker so poor as to deserve remembrance as the nadir.
The trailer, on the other hand, is a brilliant job of editing, making the unsuspecting viewer willing to part with his greenbacks. Don't be another victim of Hanna.
Grits, you deserve to be gutshot with an arrow.

Not anything like the Bourne franchise, this one has some good character development, not just action and chases - and the lead is an excellent actress - you can't take your eyes off her when she's on the screen. She's destined for greatness.
It was interesting and fun - something a little different.

Jesus, grits, how many footraces of 5 minutes each can you take? How about 35 minutes in Morocco doing NOTHING to advance the plot line except show Hanna having inane conversations with another pre-pubescent--- and possibly the worst young actress this side of television sit-coms? And Cate Blanchett: the worst ever American accent--- flat throughout the entire range and she could have smoked a cigarette while leaning on the drawl. That escape scene was arguably the worst ever filmed. She could whup and evade dozens of elite troops but then had a hard time beating up 2 guys and a wimp with silver hair in a junkyard? The WORST however, was that hippy guy. WTF did she go back to his place for after being almost killed her first visit? You obviously left your powers of ratiocination at the popcorn stand.
The young lead will be heard from again. She is talented, charismatic. She deserved far better, perhaps the lead in "Jane Eyre."

and a very lame one at that. "Rave reviews" only reinforce what poor fare we are generally being offered in 2011, and what a vacuum exists for genuine talent, none of which is reflected in Hanna It fails on every level except the cleverness of its on hype

Did I not reference this film as a POPCORN film with lots of ACTION? If you like that kind of thing it is a GOOD film.
I did NOT say you have to see this nor claim it was a breakthrough film.
Stop jumping on reviews and showing your complete lack of understanding or fairness. I've followed your Net-Streaming advice one too many times.
