I haven't seen "My Son", but Brad Dourif was cool as Cage's bookee in Herzog's recent take on "The Bad Lieutenant". My review of "Lieutenant" would be similar to your "My Son" review - creepy for sure, a dark comedy at its heart.

  Yes, Brad Dourif was *born* to play Hazel Motes; and Ned Beatty + Harry Dean Stanton aren't too shabby either
