A wonderfully humble little film about a lonely man born with dwarfism who inherits an abandoned rail station in New Jersey and who finally gets to befriend a couple of neighbours.
Despite the story-line, it completely avoids mawkishness or bathos and had me smiling throughout the film. Peter Dinklage underplays the lonely introverted main role and is perfect throughout.
A great independant (?) US film (I love them when they work!) that comes highly recommended.
Follow Ups:
... the ending left me short, ah hum, wanting for more. (Did it end a little too abruptly?)
Great performances all around, though I thought the script was a bit contrived at times - forgivable considering this gem kept my interest and took me along gently.
Yeah, a very nice film.
