After reading the wonderful novel I had tonight a look at this film. A wonderful book. Not to be missed by anyone, as for the film a fair play, which move, really move.

I bought this film.

;-O)
I cried when I realized how much money had been spent mangling a really great scifi/fantasy book.
No film has ever made me cry.
However, there was one mini-series that made me cry, and another one, even though it didn't make me cry, it did make my heart 'Thump'.

Well, there are songs that made me cry.
Well then you are on your way....
...a perfect film.
It makes you cry???
Even the longer version did not shed a tear in my eyes.If I may say so.

"The best years of our Lives" and "Forbidden Games." If I really spent time thinking about my list of those types of films, it would be a long one. There are actually several heavy handed tear jerkers that get me emotional enough to cry, but I would be embarrassed to mention them. I'm a film wuss.
when Anthony Hopkins sits with Joy's son just after she's died and they both break down crying. I suppose it is unsurprising.
interestingly the other film which can get me that way is The Remains of the Day. Especially the scenes near the end with Emma Thompson and Sir Tony are meeting again after so many years. The deep pain of unfulfilled longing and unrequited love is crushing and I am a waterfall.
Two excellent films, I particularly love the first one.
