    There are no surprises in the movie for her. She's probably a lot more sophisticated in the ways of the world when we were at 31.

    ...saw the first one with my 20yr old daughter.
    
    It was fine until the final elevator scene with Zack.
    
    I've read they tried to outdo that in this one.

      i have NO DOUBT she is wise in the ways of the world, but there's just some things you don't wanna share with the kids. All the acid/pot/robitussin/panty raids, kinky sex with her mother, mooning strangers when you were 20, blowing up mailboxes when yer 16, etc.... is prolly best left unsaid (and probably best left off bulletin boreds).

      Oh brother. Watch the hype machine! In "The Adventures in the Screen Trade" legendary scribe William Goldman told a story about how Harvard University was involved with the false release of information for the sake of hyping a movie. His point was that if they could be involved, anyone could.

      Remember when Sally Field portrayed that woman who married a Muslim man and she wanted to get her daughter back? (Not Without My Daughter) Just prior to opening, a studio exec for that movie claimed that he had received bomb and death threats from a Muslim group. Everyone in LA was highly skeptical about it -- even the radio broadcaster said -- "supposedly received these death threats."

        Alfred Molina was scary good as the Muzzie husband. Sally Field's character should have known better than to go to that godforsaken spithole back then. We saw it again a few months ago, still very powerful.
        
        Another true, very good, made for the boob tube movie that shows how screwed up the Muzzies in Iran were/are, is On Wings of Eagles. It's the story of the rescue of one of Ross Perot's employees who was unjustly imprisoned in Iran. Edge of yer seat suspense and a terrific acting job by Burt Lancaster who played a true American hero, Col. Bull Simons. In this case, the book was much better.
