......just how good is it?

Is it better than '8 1/2'? I have a chance to see on local art movie theater. Is it worth plunking $9 for a big screen?

I know seeing '2001' on a big screen changed my perception of that film radically forever.

The most fascinating scene for me was when all those phony intellectuals gathered and talk phony intellectual stuff. Loved that fella talking about the virtues of 'Oriental woman'.

Talk about psychological 'objectification' of a human being in the most shallow, and delusional kind.

I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite films and a classic. "8 1/2" is great but I personally wouldn't miss a chance to see "La Dolce Vita" on a large screen.
