A fictional three part British TV series with interlocking storylines
by three different directors. It focuses on police corruption in the north of England and incorporates real life crimes such as the Yorkshire Ripper case. Sean Bean, Paddy Considine, and Rebecca Hall are a few of the more familiar actors.

A little difficult to follow due to the heavy accents and not for the squeamish. Complex, grim, and riveting. Well worth seeking out.
