It can keep my attention.
I miss a lot of stuff the first time around in a lot of films. There are always subtle things that I catch later. I don't really think one can pick up all the details in the first sitting of any movie.
I like Sidney Pollack. He was pretty good in that poolroom scene.
All the night scenes were illuminated well. Every character was given enough time to see their personalities in context to the film.
That young Whore in the costume shot was cute. Don't know who that was.
FMJ and EWS were so different I can't compare them. I liked both. That vietnamese whore (FMJ) was cute also.
The intrigue in EWS was subtle and not in your face.`Not overly suspenseful.
The young girl was leeLee Sobiesky. Upon a first viewing, I thought the movie was a bore. It holds up to repeated viewings, however. Naturally, I'm fascinated by the secret rituals of the insanely wealthy. Those naked models were outstanding.
I'll buy into the pagan rituals in NJ, but Tom Cruise as an MD? That's a bit much.
Saw her in the film "My First Mister" and didn't recognize her at all as the same actress as in EWS until I looked the name up.
I may have to check it out again. Strange movie.
She was also the best Joan of Arc ever.
"I'd like to own a squadron of tanks"
I didn't even recognize her as the same person. I tried pretty hard. I guess her looks changed a lot in a few years. Unless I'm looking at the wrong Joan of Arc movie.
It was The Messenger:Joan of Arc
Never saw it. Reviews weren't all that positive. Seems the role would have been beyond her capability to pull off (altho she was excellent in the 5th Element).
"I'd like to own a squadron of tanks"
Yup a bit of a stretch. I kept thinking naw he can't be a doctor. His acting range is somewhat narrow.
