W's "character" and 9/11; our embarrassment of health care. He also showed what happens when corporations place profit over people, exclusively, i.e. General Motors and Flint, MI. Moore is flamboyant, over-bearing, loud, obnoxious. He's also a genius and a national treasure. Oh, did I mention that fact checkers can't seem to trip him up?

Weapons of mass destruction
Early in the film, Moore links the violent behavior of the Columbine shooters to the presence in Littleton of a large defense establishment, manufacturing rocket technology. It is implied that the presence of this facility within the community, and the acceptance of institutionalized violence as a solution to conflict, contributed to the mindset that led to the massacre.
Moore conducts an interview with Evan McCollum, Director of Communications at a Lockheed Martin plant near Columbine, and asks him:
"So you don't think our kids say to themselves, 'Dad goes off to the factory every day, he builds missiles of mass destruction. What's the difference between that mass destruction and the mass destruction over at Columbine High School?'"

Those are his very words, not something someone else put into his mouth.
Here's how I tripped him up.
Besthada? is the city where lockheed martin headquarter is located at. According to Moore's logic, it should have far higher violent crime rate than Maryland overall, at least in per capita, if not in absolute amount.On the contrary, the violent crime rate is far lower per capita, plus it's the second healthist city for women to live at.

This is just one example of his crack pot theory.

Moore is being inconsistent on 9/11. He's willing to implicate somehow 'W' is responsible for it, yet he's willing to give benefit of doubt to Bin Laden.

My dear tinear, that's what corporation is for. They are supposed to place profit over people within legal bounds.

Just look at Disney, a lot more profitable, with far greedier CEO, Michael Eisner, why didn't Moore go after Disney and Eisner?Because if he did, he would be cutting his throat, he would never get another job in Hollywood.

I enjoyed his Capitalism movie. I didn't think he was terribly accurate with F911, but he raised some important issues. It would be interesting to see what kind of 9/11 movie he could come up with now! He'd never do it, sadly. (That is to say that if he made such a film, it would never see the light of day).

I guess I was lucky and saw it before the PTB pulled it from theaters. I think Stone's been hacking TBS as it's actualy been on a few times this week. You wouldn't know being in Canaduh and all.

The movie wasn't accurate and didn't focus on elements like the CIA and the Secret Service. It alsi didn't mention that the motorcade came to a stop and secret service left their positions so the shooters could have a clear shot. Also, in the case of 9/11, those controlling the media are some of the perpetrators, so a documentary actually exposing them would never see the light of day.He's a documentary about the JFK assassination. they showed a picture of some French gangster known for hits and named him. They said he was the guy. Who knows?

BTW, you didn't address the fact that conspiracy movies often DO get made, you just did an IMHO as to whther JFK was accurate or not.Thnx for the blog offer and since this isn't the Outside I'll just leave it at that big guy!~

Good to see tax dollars at work.
How many people, in your opinion, have been murdered over the years to keep the "truth" of the JFK assassination secret? Yet a Hollywood filmaker was allowed to produce a huge grossing film with a plot alleging the assassination was a conspiracy. So tell me, why wouldn't a 9/11 conspiracy film be green lighted???? There's some serious contradictions in yer logic big guy!You see a conspiracy everwhere don't you? There's a word for people like that but I won't say it here at the fambly friendly film forum.
