the brilliant and entertaining scientist as your personal host. But he not only tells, but shows: you get to see the skulls most critical to paleontology, the sites most important to Greek architecture, the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim holy places, and much more. For anyone with a few neurons to rub together, this series IMMENSELY is interesting. The more you bring to the game, the more you'll enjoy Bronowski.

I remember seeing this on PBS way back (about 35 years, in fact). An excellent series. Very well done. I still remember the part 'The Kill', where a man throws a javelin, which morphs into a spear plunging into an antelope, all to the music of Pink Floyds 'Careful with that Axe, Eugene'. Its available on DVD from Amazon, but I can't afford the 90 sumodd dollars for the series.

Are you just getting around to it thru a rerun? I think I even bought the book (or it was given to me as Xmas present)/ Very good. Similarly, you might want to rent Guns, Germs, and Steel (another PBS documentary) if you haven't seen it/
