Strange: her last night alive, the captain of the boat and her surviving husband, Robert Wagner, have very different stories about the events immediately prior to her demise.
Follow Ups:
That the original theme was that a lot of alcohol was involved, Natalie was getting more than a little intimate with Christopher Walken. A "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" type scene followed in which Wagner felt angry and belittled.
Whether Wagner pitched her off or she fell or went herself will probably never be known, maybe Wagner doesn't exactly remember, either, due to the alcohol.
When the lawyers and publicists gained control, all the stories stopped and the "accident" version emerged.
...a publicity stunt by the boat's captain now that it's the 30 year anniversery.
His book which came out a couple of years with the same story ago didn't sell very well.
Why didn't he tell the truth, if this is the truth, at the original investigation?
Not likely Wagner will be changing his story now.
A lot of tabloid excitement about nothing.
....to keep the masses titillated and preoccupied while the police state ratchets up the repression and the looting by Wall St. continues unabated.
Remember, tin foil over windoze keeps the thought rays out.
"I'd like to own a squadron of tanks"
They're after you. They're after us all.
tabloidism and celebrity gossip is not a revelation, even to an incurable inmate like yourself. :)

Looks like perfect Hollywood has-been retirement plan.
I wonder if they reverse mortgaged their own homes?
