I watch this about everytime it rolls around on the telly as it did earlier today. It's an old man's love story and a story with intrique. Takes place in Saigon around the time the country was divided in two and the events that unfold consequently are very believable. Stars Michael Caine in a roll he was born to play. Excellent story from the novel by Graham Greene and an excellent movie. Cheers.

Very underrated film and I agree, Caine's best role.
role, Mr. Frasier is excellent. The film itself is very good. A nice bookend to, "The Ugly American," starring, of course, Brando.
Word is, I was the inspiration for it.
We'll have to agree to disagree about global warming until the next global cooling scare comes along
Frazier was very good. Best I've seen him. But, that's not sayin much cause I haven't seen him often. He was very good.

Yes, of course, F r a z e r. He was in Crash, too, which I've also seen.
McKellen.
Thanks, Tin. I was jes foolin with you a post ago with the spelling of his name. He was good in Crash, too. That's about all this guy has seen of his work. I couldn't bring myself to see the remake of Bedazzled for Peter Cook and Dudley Moore reasons. Cheers.
