...George Clooney in a potential Oscar vehicle.

Excellent performances, languid Hawaiian pacing, tight close-ups and with a voice over in one of the most depressing films of the year.

I'd give it a B-.

I'd give it a B+. Very well done...not truly great, though. Definitely sad. I didn't find it "depressing", though. I tend to use that word only when something keeps me blue for a day or so.

  But my wife, daughter and neice who saw it with me said depressing.
