Watched the first season in one sitting on Netflix - excellent show and action.

I agree I love these end of the world survival shows
the way my life has been going recently I sometimes wish something like this would happen just to shake things up. Have you seen falling skies
same idea just substitute zombies with aliens.I get a kick out of some of the comments here. I am always amazed at the egotistical people
that try to make it seem that if they think the show is stupid than it must be. Why do they even have to comment or better yet tell me some of the shows you like. I bet there are some I don't like. And these shows are meant to last hopefully a few seasons they can't have 12 episodes a year of non stop action they need a few minutes to develop the characters.I can tell alot about a person who uses words like slow and boring all the time.
After getting a "box" about six weeks ago I haven't been able to leave the house. I will give "Dead" a shot. Right now I am deep into "Mad Men".
At first I was less than impressed with being hammered with every possible cliché of the 60's. Then, around episode 15 or so, I got hooked when the marital problems started and the series writing seemed to up tick to a higher plane. If you missed the sixties the answer is yes, people really smoked that much.

The best TV series I have seen in over 10 years.

and know how to use the episode medium to full effect.
But everything about Breaking Bad is excellent to support that fine writing infrastructure.

I put it up there with the best dramas ever made for TV or cable.
Rubicon? I'm sitting here with my bro n law and we were rueing it's cancellation a few minutes ago.
Oddly enuf, I'd like a conspiracy theorist's opinion. ESPECIALLY if you make it to the last epi...
"I'd like to own a squadron of tanks"
It reminds me of the final scene in The Conversation
...if you get BBC HDTV, Shaun Of The Dead is on tonight. Great fun and recommended if you haven't seen it.
...then quickly starts to drag. Stay with it though because it really picks up. It's can't miss TV at my house.
Baba-Booey to you all!
It reminds me of the old saying that if a movie has a good beginning and a good ending people will think it was good and recommend it to their friends.
They made sure to end the season with a bang...
Really liked Season 1. Got really frustrated after epi 2 this year tho. Presuming AMC will run a marathon before too long.
"I'd like to own a squadron of tanks"
I thought the same thing but it gets much better.

One of my favorites. I like it alot.

Let's see...awful racist white guy, check. Awful wife-beating white guy, check. The minorities, of course, are angels who are just caring for the poor elderly people.
On top of that, it's just pretty stupid. Zombies? Really? This was an opportunity to work some life into that tired old concept. But no. It's still a tired old concept.
Most over-hyped show of recent years by a wide margin.

...besides that, the 'minority' (assume it's the black guy) you are referring to is pretty weak character. The true hero is the 'redneck' with the crossbow. But you'd know that if you actually watched the show.

I stopped watching after about 4 episodes. And that was the 'great first season'.
I can only imagine how bad the second season must be.

I haven't read the graphic novels in almost 30 years - so, I don't know.
