The sole survivor, a young and beautiful young woman, traumatized from the massacre, finds herself soon after falling in love with a mysterious foreigner. He is one of the murderers.
Yes, a tad melodramatic, but the performances and amazing cinematography (hey, if you can put up with "modern" cinemas lack of authentic sets, you can put up with a little staid dialogue or situations: when there is a blizzard in this film, it's a real one! And when there is a fire, it's also real) will captivate you. The scenes of horror, though they are largely offscreen, are far more effective than anything you've seen in the goriest Korean or American blood-fest: the terror is achieved by skillful editing, directing.
Oh, did I mention how beautiful the young heroine is?
