Well into the second season of this NF streaming delight. It's a great travelogue and well done despite it's philosophical bent. But, as pointed out, in 2008 the new Pope released a statement saying extraterrestrial life does NOT conflict with the Church's teaching and faith. (Getting the jump on PR, I see.)
One interesting thing is that THE Ice Age began thawing around 21K years ago and finished around 10K years ago which probably explains the 200 sunken cities in the Mediterranean and predates man's accepted claims of civilization by several thousand years. The area covered by water is the combined area of Europe and China...not a small piece of real estate. But that doesn't explain why there is a sunken city in Lake Titicaca in Peru at 12K feet!
I could go on but will let you have your very own nerd fest watching this series.

you must keep in mind that the military-industrial complex controlled History Channel has been bombarding us with tons of info on aliens and ufo's. Much of it is good material. Most of it includes some counter argument to maintain the fog, while still raising consciousness on the issue.It's part of a simultaneous indoctrination and disinformation program. Also significant is that no mainstream movie since "Close Encounters" has portrayed aliens in a realistic or non-monsterous and non-militaristic manner.
There are also bigger, higher level points which the shows never discuss.

The U.S. Government has managed to keep aliens undercover with total cooperation between the parties (for which they are so well known to do) and the aliens have agreed to this arrangement in exchange for unfettered access to abduct 2,000,000 of our citizens and to butcher about a dozen of our cows and draw circles in certain corn fields around the world.

I don't go along with any idea of an agreement between humans and ETs. I find that extremely unlikely. There are numerous witnesses who say that ETs are working with man (on the space shuttle, at the Dulce base, etc). I haven't yet seen enough corroborating reports on that to go along with it. Regarding animal mutilations, the only evidence that I'm good with (thus far) is that black helicopters are often seen. In some cases, farmers have reported that the helicopter had been disguised to resemble a saucer. It's a very strange phenomenon, but I find it more likely that it would be a black ops military project than mutilation by an advanced intelligence.How UFO information is controlled is via compartmentalization. It works. They also have rather big incentives involved, such as a non disclosure agreement for workers at area 51 (for example). They agree that if they violate their agreement, they can be imprisoned for 20 years without a trial. A rather big incentive. It is the reason why most whistleblowers only speak up with they are 80 years old and dying.
It's a myth that the government can't keep secrets. Take the massive manhattan project as an example. However, in recent decades, more and more ufo knowledge has moved into private sector control -- eliminating the possibility for required government disclosure.

How long did that remain a secret? What were the conditions under which that project took place? and let's compare the control we clearly had over the Manhattan project, all inanimate objects and substances as opposed to Alien life forms that are visiting us. What sort of control does the government exert over the Aliens? It's easy to keep an item in your pocket a secret. Not so easy to keep the color of the sky a secret.
Corona was America's first huge satellite spy project, enormously successful. It remained top secret for over thirty-five years. There must have been 10,000 personnel involved, over the duration. Yet not a breath breathed.

Kinda of a lucky happenstance there eh? No one else has the technology to observe them? No other country is worthy of a visit? Barry knows of their existence but, oh, Germany doesn't? Logic dictates more than one gubbermint would know.What's the "obvious" motive for the govt to keep knowledge of alienses "secret"? Why have they failed "apparently" so miserably? most of the ancient civilizations the aliens supposedly helped had long before the western world did. That is what pisses me off about that show is they give very little time if any to that side of the story so they just let these idiots ramble on spouting fantasy and speculation as fact.

The history on advanced mathematics and engineering in ancient cicilizations is already accounted for without the need for aliens. They actually were very intelligent people. They managed to do it on their own. Even if you and others don't think they could.
