From Japan, a truly terrifying film, "Violence at Noon," by

extreme director Nagasi Oshima. Kei Sato, as the true-life serial rapist/murderer is cold, menacing, and completely believable as the man that terrorized large areas of Japan for one year in the fifties. His was a strange pattern: drunkenness in the morning followed by daylight attacks during which the victims were first choked unconscious.
This brilliant film, through flashbacks of the two women in the criminal's life, his girlfriend and his wife, explores how he came to coldly and repeatedly violate and kill defenseless women.
The most chilling revelations are at the very end.
The actresses are both very beautiful, in very different ways and the cinematography, with its 1500 (or so) cuts, is amazing.
This is a film that doesn't rely on cheap thrills; as Hitch the Master said, anyone can jump out from behind a door and scare you.

Me... if this was on streaming... as it is, my DVD queue is already way too long.

Then Patrick came along and twisted my arm into watching the Downton Abbey. I refused as long as I could, then had to please my wife - she fell for it, unfortunately... so after finishing the "streaming" First Season I had no choice - I bought the DVD of Season 2!!!

All this broaches all my plans wide open... :( Now I have to stay even later, watching all that crap you and grits keep throwing at me. At least I gave him some back! :)

Ever watched the Top Shot? So boring Brady should be showing it to all the shooters and at the NRA convention! Great example how you can take hot, hot, hot subject and turn it into yet another Survivor.
