I loved this movie. I laughed all the way through it. Sure, it's a stupid movie but it is far funnier than the previews. Jump is not about adults firking up in an adult world like "Hangover" but the story of two ridiculous characters that somehow managed to get on the police force then assigned undercover. Both Channing and Jonah were terrific at playing the real high school misfits from hell. The gags and jokes just seem to keep coming and there weren't many flat spots in the action. The under appreciated Rob Riggle played his on-going reprise as a creepy jerk this time being a gym coach who was too involved in the student body. Dave Franko played the school greenie who also dealt a new designer drug that sometimes kills. Our heroes are charged with getting the dealer and the supplier. The rest is near chaos.
The language was pretty outrageous but outside of that no one needs to hide his eyes. Go be young and stupid again.
Follow Ups:
.... I too found this flick to be quite funny. I certainly won't be purchasing a DVD or BR for a 2nd viewing sometime down the road - but it was definately worth 2 hours of my time. There were many references/spoofs on previously-released cop movies. Lastly, Rob Riggle stole the show!
that launched the career of Johnny Depp and other not so well knowns.
I may watch it when it comes to Netflix.
Who is John Galt?
this one just looked bad as well but now I have hope!
...I said the same thing - "What a stupid movie. I'll never go see that one."
Then I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Not much else playing anyway.
It was a pleasant surprise.
I do not go to see plot with this type of movie but even that was horrific
Half as good as The Other Guys imo...

;)
all the stoopid college hijinks you never got around to because you were afraid of being arrested. Loved nearly everyone of them I saw.

...and I thought this was at least as good.
I laughed a lot.
Maybe you had to be in the right mood.
I cannot see that happening with 21 JS maybe I am wrong or do not like the type of humor. The best I can say is that 21 JS was fairly watchable.
I really like the Water Boy but hate most other Adam Sandler movies
just fickle with my stupid movies I guess
...I agree - I hate him and think he's the lowest common denominator, but I thought Happy Madison and The Waterboy had moments of humor.
I can't help but believe he really might be that way.

...and I agree, it was much better and funnier than I had expected.
I never saw the TV show it was based on and apparently there were some references and inside jokes you would get if you did.
There was a lot of stuff happening at the parties - you almost have to see it a second time to get it all.
And the car chases, with the motorcycles chasing them crashing into flammable trucks that never exploded.
Jonah was excellent and Channing was better at comedy than you'd think.
Most reviews I read gave it 3 out of 5 stars and I would agree.
