if you want a more dramatic film, as opposed to just violent, you could do worse.

  Opening scene, 10 minutes or so, car chase and cop shootout with two dirtbags, scratch two dirtbags
  Our two heroes go to an apt. to arrest a "blood". He challenges the cop to a bare fistfight. One of my favortie scenes.
  4 Meskin gangstuhs do a driveby on homeboy's crew. One blood killed. In the process, Big Evil, from the Meskin crew, sets a cinema record for the highest rate of "fucks", used in conversation, per minute.
  Our heroes stop a punk in a p.u. truck, shot fired at one of our heroes, find money and one cool ass AK
  Our heroes on night patrol rescue two chillens from a burning house and receive the Medal of Valor
  Our heroes, acting on pure instinct, roust a house, disarm and arrest a Meskin, finding dozens of mules(?) held in squalid conditions in the process.
  Our heroes break into a house and find L.A.'s largest drug cache ever and many dead, tortured, bodies
  Our heroes are ambushed in the movies finale and have a running gunbattle for the ages.
  Our heroes even comment on their colleagues' comments about the amount of action they've been involved in. Had they been involved in anymore, IMHO, the show starts to lose its credibility and venture into mindless summer popcorn flick territory.
  JMHO and all that.
  And yea, sure, a cupla scenes were too talky, but this flick was light years from being a talky girly film.

    great dialogue), time w/girlfriend, talking about girlfriend, party, wedding.
    All of that was to appease female audience that is dragged to these by guys.
    It weakened the film not so much because of it, but because it was poorly written.
    I also thought neither actor had the naturalness together that guys do in Tarantino's films. It's not fair to compare it to the Master, but it is what it is.
    Popcorn, with some talk to try to elevate it.
    Far below, "Training Day."
    Big Evil came off as a guy w/a potty mouth. His girlfriend was far more interesting and lethal and she should have been the focus. That would have been original.

      Sorry, but, my one small complaint about Qt is his characters can get a little bit too talky. Not an issue in Pulp or Basterds, but man, in Death Proof Car I was about ready to freekin scream. There was a good, 45 minute filmette hidden in the 1+ hour of its length. Too much yak yak between Roth and Keitel in Dogs (still great imho).
      
      Can't wait for Django at Christmas tho, just saw an extended trailer on Nothing But Trailers.

All four principal characters did a great job.

  One of the best cop shows I've seen. Could have done without about 60% of the wedding scene tho, how many times did we hear cops professing they'd take a bullet for one another and or say I luv ya man. I think the audience (all 3 of us at noon Monday) got it after the first reference. Other than that and the meaningless epilogue scene at the end, no fault with it whatsoever.
