I'm lying. Watched 5 minutes and nearly tossed. My laughter overcame the nausea.
Yet its an old cult flick of sorts, a love story with Nicholas Cage. Every stereotype from the 80's in CA is here and amplified.
I can see this being a beer and popcorn party thing, Try to get it cheap if you can, but in a way, it's priceless. The San Fernando lingo will drive you nuts.

I like it. I like it a lot.
clubs scenes. Good 80s "pop" soundtrack also. Worth it just for those two reasons.
Deborah Foreman was pretty, though a fairly one dimensional actress. The always steady Frederick Forrest played her father. Gage was really good. I grew up in Los Angeles in the same era. Martha Coolidge captured the time and place well, imho. Foxes was an even better movie, with Jody Foster and Scott Baio (sp?).
We'll have to agree to disagree about global warming until the next global cooling scare comes along
