seeks to rescue a girl kidnapped by the drug-and-organ-for-sale mafia.
Needless to say, the story's a bit convoluted (or is it that the pace is the usual hell-for-leather and even the most basic plot necessarily becomes cloudy?), the action scenes are other-worldly.
What makes this one worthwhile is the brooding, sensitive portrayal by the lead--- who also possesses satanic martial arts ability, including an astonishing curved-knife skill set.

My version is part I and II-its very long--first part meanders a tad.

One could certainly do much worse than this movie, but a little less abrupt character uh, "developments" and a little more story-telling to convince how someone goes from A to B would have gone a long way to make this movie truly special IMO.
see a film, but I think it's made for guys who see it two or three times for the action scenes and are kept amused by trying to figure out the plot along the way.
It certainly makes that revenge film starring Liam Neeson that did so well seem like it was from horse-and-buggy years. Koreans (and Japanese, Chinese, Thai) certainly have action figured out. I think it's because they make so many B films; like the old Westerns in Hollywood (and the crime films, later) served as talent incubators. Practice makes perfect. Compare that to our directors who typically make the jump from 1 minute commercial spots.
