Lately, I've come to regard Jeff Bridges right up there with the best of any American film actors. What is your favorite Jeff Bridges' movie?
This is just in case, I haven't seen it, thanks.
BTW, last one seen was The Great Lebowski.

Not quite as good as baker boys lebowski or country music one.
But a worthwhile investment of time nonetheless
He played that very well; dead in spirit, to the point that physical fear of death had no influence. A terrible state of mind performed brilliantly. He did it so well that a viewer could sense the inner void.

My favorite Wild Bill Hickock portrayal, with Ellen Barkin as
Calamity Jane. I feel Keith Carradine's Bill Hickock in "Deadwood"
was respectfully adapted from Bridges' performance. Regards,
J.R.
I also like him in True Grit. The Coens seem to get the best performances out of him.

.......made in early '70s is one of my favorite JB performances. A Western of sorts.

the eponymous, "The Big Lebowski."
there is always The Morning After and Jagged Edge for something a bit different (it has been a long time since I saw either)
...great film with a very young Bridges.
Kudos for mentioning this movie, it's astonishing. Not only is Bridges great, but the whole cast works at the same level. A must-see for any film buff.
I will have to.
I saw him in the Iceman Cometh with Robert Ryan and was amazed by Bridges. That had to be one of his earliest performances, wow. What a great cast in that one.
