Personally, I thought the original was over-rated. Part II was incredibly bad. Part III was an odd one -- there was NO HANGOVER and very little humor. It was more of a lame adventure movie. The only mildly amusing scenes included Melissa McCarthy. It was the Zack Galifianakis story and it was very annoying.
A prime example of actors whoring themselves out to promote their bad movies was Bradley Cooper recently saying he was "incredibly proud" of the film.
I don't see many movies in the theater these days. I found myself with the time and opportunity and didn't want to wait for Star Trek. It was one of those times when I truly thought "I will never get those 2 hours back!"
Follow Ups:
into the end credits. The gang was regaining consciousness after the wedding party the next morning and several, admittedly raunchy, things came forth.
...go see Mud.
You couldn't pay me to see those other movies. Mud was excellent. If you are avoiding it because Matthew McConaughey is in it ...put that aside and go see it.

...and it's right up there with Iron Man, Star Trek and Oblivion. Same old Hollywood, different genre.
...different genre. That, and I enjoyed it.
I am bored to tears by spaceships, aliens, super heros, etc. I can't watch them anymore.
I'm hoping "Now You See Me" is worthwhile.

...I'm really intrigued by "NowYou See Me" based solely on previews. Will probably see it this weekend.
...and it was entertaining.
It seems there aren't many "new twists" anymore, mostly rehashed ones. While much of "Now You See Me" was predictable, the end was not (for us).

...and enjoyed it. I went to the 7:20P showing and wasn't expecting much of an audience based on reviews. My expectations were way off. The auditorium was packed and almost a sell-out. So much for the public obeying the edicts of reviewers.
...and what I found interesting was the audience was made up of folks of all ages. I was surprised it had such broad appeal based on the trailers.

Just another feeble attempt to recreate a "coming of age" theme on a very low budget. I don't think it was Matthew McConaughey's best "work". I see 'Killer Joe' as his best stuff to date.
imo
I don't think I could ever watch another Matthew McConaughey movie after watching him strip down to a thong in Magic Mike. How did that movie ever get made?

My wife thought it was one of the dumbest movies she had ever seen.

...a reviewer mentioned the audience was all women except for a couple of guys they brought along.
My wife still wants to see it...
I NEVER see comedies in the theater.
What passes for 'comedy' these days is just vulgar stupidity.

Very true -- it's been quite a trend in recent years. The first 2 Hangovers were primes examples of this. One of the very odd things about the Hangover III was that it had none of the vulgar humor attempts of the first two.
