Attached to the project is author/actor Amber Benson, who portrayed Tara in Joss Whedon's hit TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She's the lovely lady in the photo with me. Alas, I was unable to crop myself entirely out of the photo (deal with it).

The Morganville Vampires is the international best selling series written by Rachel Caine, who launched this Kickstarter project yesterday in response to queries from her many fans about the possibility of a film or television series.

Alas, I probably won't be acting in this production which should provide greater incentive for folks to participate, ...but I make no promises!

  Given the vampire theme of this thread I'm just glad you didn't ask me how she tastes, good taste notwithstanding. This requires some thought.
  If I were in vampire mode, I'd be obliged to say something like "Her scent reminds me of pudding, ...blood pudding!" Alas, in real world terms, cookies and strawberries seems much more appropo.
  I'll just say Amber radiates an atmosphere of authenticity, warmth and down to earth sweetness. How's that for an answer, David?
