...while I have to admit this raunchy, edgy stoner movie is probably the funniest film I've seen since the original Hangover, it is a great example of what qualifies as humor to the younger generation today.
Seth Rogan, Jonah Hill, James Franco and their buddies all play stereotypes of themselves to good effect, particularly if you're familiar with their previous films, like "Pineapple Express".
I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.
Probably more entertaining than another Superman movie.
Follow Ups:
one got to see the true personalities of some younger Hollywood stars and to see how they really behave together. Now that people see how Michael Cera behaves in real life, he may not get movie roles again.
...just a little...different.
So did I. I most appreciated Michael Cera's brief and out-of-character role and that of Jonah Hill the best. I'm surprised the Sunday School Jet Set has not skewered it for such a hip version of "the end".

and, as usual, Danny McBride steals ever scene he's in. Only reason the Mrs. went to it (and disliked it) was it was Father's Day. We actually were in a theater populated mostly by 30yr+ adults. Only about 1/4th full.

...7:45 Sat. night - only showing in one of the 16 theaters in the multiplex - was about sold out.
When McBride showed up, I expected him to be the devil.
I was close.
