Not bad, not bad at all. I was expecting much worse but was delightfully surprised at a new, creative way to tell the tale of Superman. Sure, there was less apple pie than usual but this is surely just the first of a new series of films for the international audience.CGI was co-star to an international cast of actors that did their best to bring this extended action film to life. That's the thing about Nolan co-writing this: death and destruction, time to end, nope more death and destruction, time to end, nope more . . . holy Batman. Nolan's thumbprint is all over this.
Poor Henry Cavill has now been permanently assigned to the Pectoral Patrol as far as his future casting is concerned—not that he didn't do well in this role. Amy Adams, forever cute, did well opposite Cavill and revealed in one flash a bubbling butt through her tight pant. (Watch it girl.) Michael Shannon is getting this villain thing down and shines when called to play psycho-crazy.
I am almost disappointed that I'm not disappointed in the film. It's a great summer block burster and I give it two full chipmunk cheeks of popcorn.

Saw it tonight. Better than The Dark Night but the last half your was really tedious.

...the IMAX version. About what I expected...not too much. And yeah, the last half hour was tedious with all the superhuman brawling. Really quite unnecessary IMO. And after all that I'm not quite sure what became of the "general". Guess everything up to that point exceeded my attention span.
overall pretty cool but be warned, this movie has more CGI than any movie I have seen. but a few neat ideas too.
If you like this sort of thing you will be in heaven but if you do not avoid it...
I was quite surprised at the religious references and wonder what Nolan & Co were really up to?
Hollywood is like politics and most else in America today. Keep your expectations low to avoid disappointment and pain. Sad but true.

...or just saying its not as bad as many reviews have made it out to be? I haven't seen it yet and am not sure it's worth the potential loss of valuable time based on most "professional" reviews. You may influence my decision.

WTF?

ever at a CINEMARK in D town. Salt free, freshness free, taste free, but not "kernels in teeth by the hundreds" free.
(just looking for an excuse to rant)

Why would you go to a movie that you expected to be bad?
