  makes you think heavyweight directors spend years thinking of imagery and symbolism before the storyboard is created. I watched a 1:30:00 YouTube analysis and it was totally overboard with symbolism and some complete nonsense. Regardless, the levels of detail some people see (or imagine) is incredible.

  It isn't the outdoorsy epic of Barry Lyndon but more of an indoorsy epic of, say, 740 Park Avenue. You have to see it more than twice in order to see all the beauty of the art direction. I feel it was the last film that exhibited Kidman's natural beauty.

        and I must correct myself and say the last time she looked really good was "Birth". A few pounds heavier and more woman-like. After that she started playing with Botox, ugh.

Vitali was the obnoxious, hateful half-brother to Barry Lyndon's young son. You know, the one Barry thrashed and met for a duel. Vitali and Kubrick became quite good friends after that.
