Oblivion stands out among recent sci-fi IMHO by its inclusion of real human interest, dealing with questions of identity and loss, amid all the explosions and CGI.
If some viewers want to consume themselves as to why Morgan Freeman was wearing sunglasses throughout, I'll leave them to their obsessions. More power to them! In any case, those types of questions hardly constitute a complete logic fail.

Who cares. Maybe he had problems with his eyes. There's always something you can nit-pick about a movie. Me; I tend to go, shut out reality as much as possible, and just enjoy a couple hours of relief from the daily grind.
I thought Oblivion quite enjoyable, regardless of shortcomings.

To escape reality is one of the main reasons why we go to the movies.

I could pick at it even more than Oblivion if nit-picking was a hobby. We all do it, and I will say I was dis-appointed with of all people; Jodie Foster (thought she was over the top). Otherwise it was a fun escape from reality.
I'd have to say the end was wide open; he might be dead... until they can get him to a med-pod (whatever it was called) in Elysium II. :)

...of Oblivion.
With all of the advertising, District 9 and the actor's credentials I have to say I was disappointed in the film.
