It's a big let down now that its gone. I've been watching the last 8 ep. on Netflix UK
Follow Ups:
I don't doubt that it's good, but there's only so much time in life to devote to TV.
What highly acclaimed shows have you never seen?
It has a lot of violence. I don't usually watch TV series' but the pilot of B.B. got my attention. Since B.B. I have tried a few others but gave up on them after a short time. But I have been venturing into sampling each one on broadcast TV and Netflix. I have never seen 'The Sopranos',so that one is in my que.Nice part about Netflix is that there are no commercials and you can pause and go back any time you want. Ala carte is the only way to go.
Then Black Orphan and then Game of Thrones.
I don't get the hate here for Breaking Bad. A really great series. I still think the Wire was the best but Breaking Bad is up there.

I never did get what all the fuss was about that show. A high school Chem teacher, facing imminent death, turns to manufacturing one of the most deadly drugs known to man. And for this he is both vilified and set upon a pedestal.
And with this precis, we are "treated" to what, 7 years?, of non-stop fawning and accolades from a public that doesn't know jack-shit about the horrors visited upon humanity by that drug and its attendant addiction.
No thanks. I'll retreat back to my "Firefly" re-runs, thank you very much...

My one regret in life is that I saw Serenity before the Firefly series...
LOL
I finally made the commitment to sit thru a marathon one weekend and catch em all. I also saw Serenity before Firefly and wasn't impressed.
Yea, my opinion's changed now!

Lots of seedy characters who speak almost poetically, lots of dark humour(sp for brit), good acting, suspenseful, and the body count is about on a par with Breaking Bad. The main character not as conflicted as Walter, but some of the bad guys, at times, do some pretty good things, so there's some internal conflict vis a vis the bad guys. Similar to Breaking Bad, it didn't lose its momentum after the first season and in fact got better for at least the next 2.One of Elmore Leonard's last great gifts to mankind.

Anyone know if it is coming back?
Going through serious red hair withdrawal...
Simply a wonderful show.

Netflix has it. Unfortunately, this season is not up to the same standard as the previous three seasons. It just isn't "compelling". If you look at the copyright dates this is one of the slowest written dramas on the planet. There are a lot of changes to the characters but the central plot is a bit weak. One thing for sure, the French sure like to dog foreigners. This time it's Turkish terrorists.
First episode just shown on Sundance channel last nite. Well worth a watch. I think it's available on Netflix. Looks like a winner after one episode. Appropriate that it debuted on All Hallows Eve.

Their site only says 28 episodes, but there are actually 40!
Started watching it... so far feels very good!

I saw that it's French, Netflix doesn't seem to have it.

The the problem with such a show is that it's monotonous. Character develop is minuscule because basically it's just about surviving from week to week. The Whole Governor thing to me was silly and felt tacked on because they had no ideas. So let's have a nutcase run a town with sheep following him. Then we have sword girl? Her lack of a personality must be what passes for deep cause she's always stern looking.
I keep watching it like staring at roadkill but it's not very good. I preferred the keep moving on approach over living in a prison and growing a garden.
Go to a Shopping mall already - didn't any of these clowns watch Dawn of the Dead (1978) when they were young? Hello - everything you need in aisle 3.
There is a wee (maybe more) bit of chaff in the wheat but really, it's a flippin zombie TV series. I'm surprised that what quality exists after what, 3 seasons and 50+ hours of programming?, exists at all.

Different strokes. I think it is getting better.

.
But you're right, it's starting to lose me. IMO the only show that comes close to Breaking Bad is The Killing. Man.....AMC has been stacked for the last few years.

I FF thrugh all zombie killing sprees - ho hum...
The last season was a BIG disappointment, except for a few bright moments.

Less street urchins, more Peter Sarsgaard would've made it better.

You felt like watching the same episode over and over again, the previous seasons had much more story development.
