Absolutely the worst flick I've ever liked with Michael Caine in it. Made in 1984, it's about 2 middle-aged dudes with marriages on the rocks, taking their 2 smoking hot daughters (and zero wives) for a vacation in Rio. Caine falls for his buddy's daughter. There's no way in hell he couldn't.
It's predictable as it can get, based on a French play or screenplay in 1977. It was nominated for a Razzie right out of the box, and the babe du jour, Michelle Johnson, got a Worst New Actress Award or nomination. But acting was not so much required of her, as you will note if you dial this one up.
All that aside, this movie has a large cultish following, mostly following Michelle. Which may help explain why Caine was in this to begin with.
Here's her lastest gambit; a music video. She must be 50-something now, but not so you would notice! Oh. Forgot to say Demi Moore is the other daughter here, but who cares?
Follow Ups:
Please avoid Michael Caine movies.

I had forgotten about that POS until you just mentioned it.
Luckily these daze it takes much less time to forget such things, so I should be OK again by Wednesday or so...

You have NEVER heard anyone before or since say "Oh, Daddy!" quite that ... uh ... effectively.
...but of course the big attraction was Michelle going topless.
Sold a lot of tickets...
this is definitely a guy's fantasy film. Johnson had a spectacular pair and I did my best to follow them through her B and C list movies. After she lost her baby fat her overall spectacularness diminished.
It is a guilty pleasure.

... gone with the chick, it would have been an eternal smash hit. But instead it settled for a reality ending. I doubt there's a man in the world who didn't want to see him walk off with the babe.
…it's well made and acted. Caine and Bologna play well off each other. Demi Moore is great. Michelle Jackson was very sincere and sexy, but not a terrific actress. Needless to say, I must have seen it 25 times when it ran on early cable in Los Angeles (I think it was the Z channel/Theta cable). Stanley Donan knew how to make movies. It was better than it should have been. I loved it.
