  Luis Bunuel surely noticed his boots, taking a peculiar pride in the gleaming footwear of his main characters.
  Severine wore shiny black buckle-toe slip-ons that are still revered as iconic amongst shoe fetishists everywhere. That shoe style is still being sold today (Roger Vivier).
  Marcel's boots (which were at least as spectacular as Severine's shoes) don't seem to be offered on today's market.

  But it is true that the beautiful pair of boots "Marcel" wore in the movie were black on the outside/white on the inside.
