I saw that it has recently been available on DVD-R from Amazon. I doubt anyone here has even heard of it. I was cave exploring outside of Bloomington Indiana when I saw a small film crew setting up equipment just inside the entrance of Bruckners Cave. They needed someone to hand hold a microphone boom, so I volunteered.
I'm curious how it turned out so I'm going to order it for $21.50.Maybe Ill see if I held the boom too low!

Maybe you can tap someone for a gratus copy.
I'm doing some research but can't find much. Bill Holloway was just 20 years old when he made the film. His son is into video films but he wasnt born yet when the film was made. If I had done this search a few months ago I may have made contact.Oh well it's just $30 bucks to get the DVD-R.
Densely quaint. Both Tolkien and C.S. Lewis highly praised and were
influenced by it. Colin Wilson called it the best novel of the twentieth
century. A low budget film would need a lot of special effects. It could
be very amusing. Regards,

Does that mean That it is a difficult read? Did you like it? I might order a used copy from Amazon.
While watching the small part of the movie being made, I couldnt quite figure what was going on. It seemed like some kind of dream sequence. Though not reading the book or the script kept me in the dark.
Early science fiction is often quite a handful. More often quaint than
not. Think of H.G. Wells as a more standard, more normal writer. Regards,
J.R.
Do you have any recomendations for novels and short stories?
Ive read some Jules Verne, H.G. Wells and edgar allen Poe but though they were very inventive they didnt have modern writing styles and were difficult at times.
Whenever I go to a book fair, I check out the SF stuff if there is any.
H.P. Lovecraft, "The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward."
C.S. Lewis, "That Hideous Strength."
Colin Wilson, "The Mind Parasites."
These are not for the timid. All are remarkable, prophetic even. "The
Mind Parasites" is so uneasy and frightening that few can finish it.
Regards,
J.R.
I could have spent a few bucks on Amazon but free is better.Someone must not have renewed the copyrights.
