though everything about it shines and it is certainly in our top 10 or so here.
I'm with the others that mentioned Breaking Bad and The Sopranos as being better and would add The Wire and the (sadly) aborted Deadwood.
Anyway you look at it, we are experiencing the New Golden Age of Television and BE is a reigning participant.

Both series feature a top notch cast. For me Ray Donovan wins at the wire by the slightest of a nose.
Have thoroughly enjoyed Nucky and his escapades, and was sorry to see it end. Sets, costumes, writing, acting, everything about it was first rate. Season 3 was my favorite. As good as it is/was, I still think that The Wire was the best ever series. So many great ones over the years, but only The Wire caused me to actually weep a little when it ended.
I was sorry to view the final episode.
