lacking in others (except maybe the Finns or Swedes, long ago).
American and Canadian style is kind of like boxing on ice. Or rugby. Ugly.

Ps. The NHL has been making rule changes to help open up the game...The most recent is the 2-line pass is now legal...more room behind the nets and along with wider and longer sheets of ice...

They are "trying" to foster more scoring...hence the 2-line pass...
