I am catching up on that show and I kept being amused by the total silliness of its writers.
I will give you one thing - the show is well compacted, dense, if you will, not in the bad sense, so it makes an OK entertainment, but buy, is it full of just plain stupidity!
The whole story of the former CIA director traveling unescorted on a commercial flight to Pakistan really cracked me up. What's next? Obama boarding a commercial flight to Somalia?
A 60+ old, out of shape guy killing a young man with his bare hands? Sure... happens every day.
The whole episode with meds is also plain dumb. So she realized someone has been fooling with her meds... what does she do? Send the bottle for finger printing? Oh, NOOOOOOOOO.... apparently they have never heard of that, especially when the perpetrator is not using any gloves. Chemical analysis possibly leading to the source? Noooo... too complicated. Just hand it to the CIA director.
I was - and still am - waiting for Brody to come back... they always do in soaps... so during his brief presence my hope had received new life... and I still think not all is lost yet.
I could go on, but you get my tilt - watch it for some good laughs, it ain't gonna hurt you!

"Have you a water buffalo?"
That show has been sorely missing a tremendous firefight, and I think it is coming, something in the vein of Blackhawk Down, or even better.
Bring on some grit... if you know what I mean! :)

"Have you a water buffalo?"
Nobody walks away with "flesh wounds" from them.
But since this is a comedy, it is OK.
There was one character I was sorry to see go, though.

Why on earth would Quinn and random black marine dude, after they killed 2 or 3 bad guys in the basement, not take their automatic weapons and a few clips? They got their radio, but left the AKs(?)????

Instead they insisted on using their pistols, which, apparently, had unlimited size magazines.
As I mentioned before, the writing has many, many severe faults, they should have used some real consultants, any military man would have indicated that.

Victor, it's a slippery-slope and you've started down it...
The day before it was Double Suicide, 1969 B&W Kabuki film.
You will like it, if you have not seen it.

...I agree it's gotten more off the rails this season and almost lost me.
But in spite of that, the acting is good and with the last episode, the story got suspenseful and exciting.
Who cares if it doesn't hold up under critical scrutiny - it's TV.
At least it's weaving in current events to give us a taste of some of the stuff probably going on in the Middle East.
The fat girl romance was actually good. :)

...there are lots of small things to criticize but overall it is getting much better than it started out.
Looking forward to the next episode...
SPOILERS-
and said she was authorized to kill Americans? Or Saul laying on the pavement asking to be killed so the prisoner exchange wouldn't take place?Or when the convoy was RPG'd on the way back to the embassy?
I'll give ya Haqquani leading a squad into (presumably) the embassy thru a tunnel secured with only a $7 padlock :)
Brody is done, finis, and, IMNSHO, the show is much better off without him
If you have HBO, catch this season's the Getting On, a DARK comedy looking at life within an "end of life" nursing unit at what apparently is a second rate hospital.

That tunnel was indeed something special... I need to look in my basement, perhaps there is one to the local whorehouse.
